Phillips 66 and Kendall Motor Oil offer an extensive portfolio of products for all kinds of applications and settings, and sometimes it can be challenging to narrow down the options for your customer’s specific needs. Get a quick refresher on this week’s featured product, Guardol® Fleet EC.
Phillips 66® Guardol Fleet EC (Emission Compatible) Diesel Engine Oil, formerly known as Fleet Supreme EC, is an API CK-4 engine oil developed for use in four-stroke cycle diesel engines designed to meet 2007 and later EPA on-highway exhaust emissions standards. It is specially formulated for compatibility with exhaust aftertreatment systems using diesel particulate filters (DPFs), diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) and/or selective catalytic reduction (SCR). It is backward serviceable for use in pre-2007 diesel engines.
What makes Guardol Fleet EC stand out against competitors?
- Excellent dispersancy and oxidation resistance: Guardol Fleet EC has excellent soot dispersancy to protect against soot-induced oil thickening and abrasive wear, and excellent oxidation resistance to help minimize deposit formation.
- Compatibility with emissions control systems: Its low ash content helps to prevent filter clogging and extend the life of the diesel particulate filters (DPF), which can be a significant cost savings for fleet operators.
What kind of applications could benefit from Guardol Fleet EC?
- On-highway diesel trucks equipped with EGR and exhaust aftertreatment systems to meet 2007/2010 emissions standards
- Older diesel equipment with conventional, non-EGR engines or ACERT engines
- Off-highway construction, earth moving and mining equipment
