A Season of Performance: No. 93 Acura Takes Second in Team Championship

Success over a racing season takes more than speed. It takes preparation, teamwork and the ability to adapt as every race brings a new challenge. In 2026, Honda Racing Corporation USA and Acura Meyer Shank Racing brought those qualities to the track with the Phillips 66® Lubricants-sponsored No. 93 Acura ARX-06.

The team concluded the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship second in the GTP team standings, with full-season #93 drivers Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly finishing third and fourth, respectively, in the GTP drivers’ championship.

Season Highlights Worth Celebrating

One of the season’s standout moments came at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, where Yelloly and van der Zande drove the No. 93 to victory. The result marked Acura’s first win at the event since becoming its title sponsor, a meaningful achievement in front of a home crowd.

The team added another highlight at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. Joined by Honda-supported driver Kaku Ohta, Yelloly and van der Zande secured second place, earning a podium finish in one of the season’s demanding endurance events.

Closing the Season at Petit Le Mans

The season wrapped up October 3 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The No. 93 qualified second, helping Acura Meyer Shank Racing secure both front-row starting positions, and ran at the front during the early hours of the race. Although the finale ended with a 10th-place GTP result, the team’s season-long effort secured its runner-up championship finish.

For Phillips 66® Lubricants, the season provided opportunities to connect with motorsports fans and celebrate the preparation, precision and commitment behind competitive racing. Congratulations to the drivers, engineers and crew on their 2026 achievements.
