AirVenture 2026: Connecting with the Aviation Community from the Ground Up

Each summer, EAA AirVenture brings together the people who keep general aviation moving forward—from pilots and aircraft owners to mechanics, educators and aviation enthusiasts. For Phillips 66® Aviation Fuels & Lubricants, the event is more than a showcase of products. It’s an opportunity to share technical expertise, strengthen customer relationships and celebrate the passion that fuels the aviation community.

Throughout AirVenture 2026, the Phillips 66® Aviation Fuels and Lubricants team welcomed attendees to the Phillips 66® Aviation tent to connect with technical experts, explore the aviation lubricants portfolio and take advantage of exclusive show pricing.

Education remained a cornerstone of the week’s activities. Keith Clark, Senior Specialist, Quality Control and Technical Support, and Molly Merritt, Specialist, Technical Services, led educational sessions on aviation’s rich history and lubrication best practices while also sharing their expertise during interviews on EAA Radio. Together, these opportunities reinforced Phillips 66® Aviation’s commitment to helping customers make informed maintenance decisions and keep aircraft operating at their best.

One of the week’s most meaningful moments was the presentation of the 2026 Phillips 66® Aviation EAA Young Eagles Leadership Award to Patrick Cohenour, Young Eagles Coordinator for EAA Chapter 24 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The annual award recognizes an individual or organization that has made an extraordinary impact through the Young Eagles program by inspiring and mentoring the next generation of aviators.

Cohenour has dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours introducing young people to aviation through free introductory flights, creating opportunities that spark curiosity and inspire future pilots, engineers and aviation professionals. By recognizing leaders like Patrick, Phillips 66® Aviation continues its longstanding commitment to aviation education and the volunteers helping ensure a strong future for the industry.

AirVenture also provided another opportunity to partner with aviation creators Erin and Paul (@erinandpaulfly), who have worked alongside the Phillips 66® Aviation team for two years now. Through their authentic storytelling and passion for aviation, they’ve become trusted ambassadors for the brand, helping showcase the people, products and experiences that make AirVenture one of the industry’s most anticipated events.

Throughout the week, Erin and Paul shared behind-the-scenes moments from Oshkosh, explored unique aircraft displays, visited the Phillips 66® Aviation tent and highlighted conversations with team members and fellow aviation enthusiasts. Their content extended the excitement of AirVenture beyond the showgrounds, giving pilots and aviation fans who couldn’t attend an inside look at the week’s activities while continuing to build awareness of the Phillips 66® Aviation brand.
